The Find Waldo in Washington Scavenger Hunt is open to everyone.

 

Where’s Waldo in Washington Scavenger Hunt passports can be picked up at any participating Downtown businesses while supplies last and downloaded from NeighborhoodReads.com. 

 

Photocopies are accepted. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of the contest sponsor and will not be returned.

 

Find Waldo in Washington passports must be stamped/signed by each business.

 

Participants who collect stamps/signatures from at least 10 different businesses may take their passports to Neighborhood Reads Bookstore to claim a coupon for $1 off a "Where's Waldo" book. Collect at least 20 of the stamps/signatures on the passport to be entered into a drawing for Downtown Washington Gift Certificates and "Where’s Waldo" books.

 

Passports must be submitted to Neighborhood Reads by 11 am on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to be eligible for the grand finale drawing. Entries received after this time and date will not be considered.

 

Prizes will be awarded from a random drawing at the Grand Finale Waldo Storytime at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Neighborhood Reads. Participants do not need to be present to win individual gift certificates but some prizes, including books, will be awarded to those in attendance that day.

Find Waldo in Washington is sponsored locally by Downtown Washington, Inc. and Neighborhood Reads, The books publisher, Candlewick Press and the American Booksellers Association support the project nationwide for more than 350 independent bookstores. 

 

Neighborhood Reads and Find Waldo in Washington participating businesses are not responsible for late, illegible or lost passports.

 

Passports are not transferable.

 

Prizes may be picked up at Neighborhood Reads and MUST be claimed by Aug. 31, 2026.

 

There is no purchase necessary to participate. Official passports are available at no cost inside participating businesses while supplies last and online at NeighborhoodReads.com.
