Nearly 2,000 new books were released this week! Stop by the store to see what we added to our shelves!

Holiday gifts are making their way onto our shelves at Neighborhood Reads! We have so many cool gifts, including lots of bookish ornaments, candles, teas, journals and advent calendars — the list is long and adorable! Next week our meeting room will be filled with children’s gifts! Holiday shopping will officially kick off at Neighborhood Reads on Nov. 3, but you don’t have to wait! Stop by to shop early, shop small and shop local!

Flashback Friday! In 2018 author/illustrator Loren Long made one of several visits to Washington to promote his books. He’s written several since then, including his most recent book, “The Yellow Bus.” It is terrific and on our shelves! We also have Loren’s adorable board book series with “Otis” the Tractor!

We're working to keep reading a community priority.

Our independent bookstore opened in historic Downtown Washington, Missouri on June 15, 2017. Located in a home built in 1898, the store also carries a variety of unique gifts.
